‘I came to Sicily to participate in the feast of Saint Benedict the African. For Africans today, even myself as a clergyman, it is not easy to walk. We’re painted with the stereotypical image of the migrant. So, how did this migrant, Benedict, who was Black and African, get to be honoured in this way here?
